More on Ashli . . .

May 21, 2009 | 4 Comments

. . . in my guest post today at The Dawn Patrol.

I cannot thank Dawn Eden enough for her behind-the-scenes role over the past few weeks in insuring that Ashli receives the best possible medical care. Given Dawn’s years of generosity and support for suffering hyperemetic women, I should not be surprised — but I am. Her kindness and persistence have far transcended the ordinary bounds of friendship. May God bless her richly for all she has done.

Thanks, too, to commenter Lily for her invaluable and ongoing research assistance. Lawyer-in-training Adam Russo has also rendered some time-saving services.

Finally, thanks to all of you for your prayers. Ashli has been greatly strengthened and consoled by them, and there have been a few small miracles along the way that show that God is most certainly listening.

It was my pleasure to help, but I don’t deserve any praise. I was just a poor instrument of the Lord.

Yes, He’s most certainly listening. He loves and cares more than anyone ever could!! She is worth more than many sparrows (Matthew 10:31, Luke 12:7). OXOXOXO

Continuing to pray, knowing God has all things under His control. Not being double-minded, but through faith thanking God that the prayers of His children are wonderfully answered when asked according to His will.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [Ph 4:4-7 NIV]
