God Squad Review CLXXII (Don’t Care What They’re Saying)

If you’re interested in reading the Squad’s babblings on sin and coping with death read their column. I’m giving them a pass this week in honor of Father Hartman’s pledge to cure for Parkinson’s disease within ten years through the efforts of his foundation.

“Offering trite and facile advice can be both insulting and foolish.” — Finally, the God Squad speaks from experience.

That’s not what the article says:

Hartman, now devoted to the research foundation he founded, told his audience: “I’ll take care of the science. You take care of the prayer.”

The fact that “Our best advice in the presence of searing and inconsolable grief…” exists on the same page as “super-sin” is the big joke!

Super-sin? Is that a comic book or a religion?

Here’s a friend’s article you’ll enjoy (in a funny/scary kinda way). Read to the end, or you’ll miss the joke.

sorry, TRA….i just thought it was a typo….
’cause, you know, Hartman is NOT a scientist….

however, you could still have bludgeoned them…it is not like it’s going to make a difference, ya know, like praying for a cure or anything….
