    But it’s coming from Wilder, not me. And the irony disappears once I point out that it’s a work of fiction.

    You picked it, though, which is a rhetorical act in and of itself. Taking the quote out of context doesn’t destroy the context. Thus, I can deduce one of two things about you: your antagonism toward concepts about the afterlife are not so strong as to completely reject everything included in those concepts, or you’re still bitter about not being cast as George Gibbs back in high school ;)
