David Eller was a speaker too! Damn Im pissed that I couldnt go to that convention. Im reading Ellers book right now, Natural Atheism, and its a very informative book with excellent arguments for atheism.

Pastor Fred from Landover was even there! Thats the only Church I actually like LOL!

And congrats to Brian Flemming! If anyone attended the convention, please chime in here and tell us how it went!

I do believe Courtney Love counsels moderation in Heroin use. Bottoms up!

    Thanks for the props, RA.

I was at the convention giving a presentation on this movie:

Well, except for the theist readers of RA, who would probably be doomed to hell for even clicking on the link.

I really liked Sam Harris’ talk. He should have commented on how religious moderation also causes people to forget history. We should never erase the association of the inquisition and all other forms of religious intolerance and violence with the religions which caused them. It dishonors the memories and suffering that so many people went through. Lets hope that forgetting this history doesn’t condemm us to repeat it…

    AK,
Thanks very much for your enthusiasm for my new book. It is amazing to hear about someone that excited about perhaps seeing oneself speak. By the way, there is a DVD of a similar talk I did available through the http://www.naturalatheism.us website, if you are interested. Again, thanks for being a passionate rationalist.
